Dr. Abul Hassan

Abul Hassan is a Lecturer in Finance at the Markfield Institute of Higher Education and Coordinator, Islamic Economics Unit, The Islamic Foundation, UK. Earlier he served as Lecturer in Finance for one and half years at the University of Brunei Darussalam during 2005-2006. He has an MSc in International Banking and Finance from Loughborough University, UK and a PhD in Finance from University of Durham, UK. He is also a visiting Faculty member of PG Programme in Islamic economics and finance at the Trisakti University, Jakarta, Indonesia. He has seven published papers at reputed academic journals viz. Humanomics, Islamic Economics Studies, Review of Islamic Economics, Journal of KAAU Islamic Economics, IMAR Journal etc and two in compiled books.

Dr. Mohammed Nurul Alam

Mohammed Nurul Alam, who obtained his Doctor Degree on "Small Business Finance by Islamic Banks" from ‘Lund University’, Lund Sweden, basically a teacher in various commerce subjects like Financial Accounting, International Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Auditing.
He worked in this project from July 2001 to January 2004. Since February 2004, Dr. Alam has been teaching Accounting subjects to the Under-graduate and Masters level (MBA) and professional level (ACCA) commerce students in the Department of Accounting at the Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. Since 2006,he has been teaching PhD students as a visiting professor, in the department of Islamic Economics and Finance (IEF) at Trisakti University, West Jakarta, Indonesia.

Prof. Dr. Abdul Ghafar Ismail, Ph.D

Abdul Ghafar Ismail is currently a professor of banking and financial economics at School of Economics, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He got his PhD from University of Southampton, England. He is currently the Head of Islamic Economics and Finance Research Center (EKONIS) and Chairman, Shari’ah Committee of Citibank He has published extensively in several refereed journals among others Review of Islamic Economics, Journal of Islamic Economics, Journal of Islamic Banking and Finance, Humanomics, International Journal of Social Economics, Savings and Development, Global Journal of Finance and Economics and Review of Financial Economics. His papers have also been presented in many international and local conferences, such as International Seminar on Islamic Economics and Finance, IRTI International Conference and Malaysia Finance Association Conference. His research interests include inter-temporal allocation of resources, earning management, capital adequacy standard for Islamic banks, and risk management. He has been a lecturer since 1987 and has been teaching several economics courses such as money and banking, financial economics, advanced macroeconomics, money and capital market in Islam, Islamic economics system, Islamic economics analysis, and international finance.

Prof. Dr. Ahamed Kameel Mydin Meera

Ahamed Kameel Mydin Meera is well known among the financial circles in Malaysia for his contribution in the field of economics. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Finance from the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas, U.S.A. His undergraduate and Masters Degrees were in the area of Economics from the International Islamic University Malaysia. He has wide experience in teaching, training, consultancy and research in the above areas.

Prof. Dr. Masudul Alam Choudhury, Ph.D

Masudul Alam Choudhury is Professor of Economics and Finance in the College of Commerce and Economics, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman and is International Chair of the Postgraduate Program in Islamic Economics and Finance, Trisakti University, Jakarta, Indonesia.Professor of Finance and Economics. Ph.D. Political Economy, University of Toronto, OISE. 1977. M.A. Political Economy, University of Toronto, 1973. M.Phil. Mathematical Statistics with Specialization in Econometrics, University of Islamabad, 1969. M.Sc. Pure & Applied Mathematics, University of Islamabad, 1968. B.Sc. Hons. Pure Mathematics, University of Dhaka, 1967.

 

Prof. Dr. Rodney Shakespeare

Rodney is Visiting Professor of Binary Economics at Trisakti University, Jakarta where he teaches on the international postgraduate Islamic Economics and Finance program. He is a Cambridge MA; a qualified UK Barrister; and a well-known paper presenter and lecturer particularly at Islamic conferences dealing with money, the real economy, and social and economic justice. He is a co-founder of the Global Justice Movement. In 2000 he received the (Martin Luther) King-Kelso Award.

 

Prof. Dr. Sofyan Syafri Harahap, Ph.D
